RJ Abarrientos stood tallest among freshmen after being named the Korean Basketball League Rookie of the Year on Thursday.

 

Si RJ Abarrientos ay naging pinakamataas sa mga freshmen matapos siyang hirangin bilang Korean Basketball League Rookie of the Year noong Huwebes.

Si RJ Abarrientos ay KBL top rookie Ipinakita ng 5-foot-11 point guard na karapat-dapat siya sa award matapos mag-average ng 13.6 points, 2.7 triples, 4.8 assists, 2.9 rebounds, at 1.4 steals sa loob ng 29.1 minuto sa 51 games sa kanyang unang season sa Korea.


Naungusan ni Abarrientos ang mga kapwa rookies, kabilang ang isa pang import na Pinoy na si Rhenz Abando, na nagpasaya kay Abarrientos sa pamamagitan ng pagkuha ng video habang ang nanalo ay papunta sa entablado sa seremonya ng paggawad. "Salamat sa aking mga coach, lalo na sa aking Mobis team, sa lahat ng aking mga kasamahan sa pagtulong sa akin sa maraming paraan sa loob at labas ng court," sabi ni Abarrientos sa kanyang talumpati sa pagtanggap.
